About us: We are the playing arm of the Tasmanian branch of the Australian Cricket Society. Our members are cricket tragics, including a range of abilities from novices to ex-grade players. We play the game in a friendly but competitive spirit. And we’re always on the lookout for new players. Our matches also provide a pathway for those interested in representing Tasmania’s veterans, competing in over 50s, 60s or 70s National Carnivals.
Age group involved: Generally from 50s to mid 70s – but also welcome players outside this range
Region in which games are normally played: Most are home games in the south of the state, but we have a few road trips to the north each year
Home ground: Usually in the Hobart’s eastern suburbs.
Frequency of matches: Usually every fortnight from early October to early April with a break over Christmas/ New Year, so typically we schedule 12-14 matches per season.
Practice sessions: No formal times. Currently we train (with members of other veterans sides) at the TCA indoor nets on Thursdays 4-5:30 (check with contact below for up to date information).
