About us: Thylacinians Cricket Club first played in 1991 as a group of cricket enthusiasts, with a very loose one-time link to the University Football Club, as were the two clubs against which, in our early years, we played two games each.

Age group involved: Current membership ranges from players in their 70s to 30s and although some games are tagged as over50s matches we regularly include a couple of younger members to complete our squad. We have a core of regular players whilst other members may only play a game or two, so we have quite a large squad. Still, we are always on the lookout for new players, particularly in the late 40s to mid-50s age bracket, to fill a gap in our age profile

Region in which games are normally played and frequency: We play our games state wide with roughly three games in the northwest, three in the north and the remainder in the south of the state. In previous seasons we have played as many as 14 games. but we are now looking to limit our season to ten games played, as far as we can manage it, on a fortnightly basis.

Home ground: For our games played in the south of the state we are usually able to play at Montrose Bay High School.

Practice sessions: For those members wishing to take their cricket a little more seriously we join with other southerners for weekly indoor net practice at the TCA, currently on Thursdays from 4pm. Cost is $5.00 per session.
